RAZER AND MANDIC COMBINE TO FORM BRAZILIAN SUPERPOWER
California. USA – 22nd September, 2011 – Razer™, the world’s leading high-end precision gaming brand, and MANDIC, a thriving Brazilian IT company, have joined forces to reinvigorate the Brazilian Counter-Strike scene.
Razer, pioneers of worldwide e-Sports since its inception, and MANDIC, a Brazilian hosting company are committed to breathing new life into the Brazilian gaming scene and will be investing in a formidable team of the best Brazil has to offer. The team, who has preferred Razer peripherals since their inception, will be operating from a Razer studio which is being created within the MANDIC office, São Paulo, and will be also entirely outfitted with Razer hardware.
“MANDIC is a flourishing Brazilian company dedicated to supporting its own domestic gaming scene,” said Robert “RazerGuy” Krakoff, President of Razer USA. “Our combined experience will work wonders in assisting this team of incredibly talented and experienced players back to the top.”
The new stellar Brazilian line-up who will be playing under the tag of Mandic Razer is composed of some of Brazil’s hottest CS talent, all of them hailing from the once brutal Complexity roster. Among them, stars such as Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, who is likely to AWP for the team, and Renato “nak” Nakano, who will be calling the strats in game. The team were crowned champions of the Intel Extreme Masters V American Championships earlier this year, seeing off Evil Geniuses 2-0 in the finals, and finished a strong 4th at the World Cyber Games Grand Finals in 2010 just behind Frag Executors.
“When starting our e-Sport project, we seek to align ourselves with the best that is on the market to add an extra value to our brand, thus, being an admirer and product user, the first company that I thought about this partnership was Razer,” said Axel Mandic. “We believe that the union of our brands creates a very positive synergy for our customers and the market. MANDIC has always stood out throughout its history for the boldness and innovation on the internet scenario, and once again, will not be different on this new challenge.”
