TEAM RAZER RELEASES DOGS OF WAR

Razer expands Scandinavian e-Sports support with LemonDogs

CARLSBAD, Calif. – Mar. 7, 2013 – Razer, one of the world’s pioneering supporters of e-Sports, and LemonDogs, one of the premier Counter-Strike: Global Offensive organizations in Scandinavia, have formed a partnership to reinforce Razer’s support of Nordic e-Sports.

LemonDogs are more than just a professional team: they are highly active within the Nordic eSports scene and host blogs from famous community members, as well as frequent online tournaments. Along with Nordic e-Sports community involvement, the group has teams that compete at the highest level of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and regional squads that compete in Call of Duty and FIFA,  leaving LemonDogs an unparalleled influence in the overall Nordic gaming scene.

“LemonDogs are a perfect example of what is right about Scandinavian e-Sports,” said Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder, CEO and creative director. “They started-off as a grassroots organization and have expanded to compete against the very best in the world. We look forward to working with LemonDogs in our plans for Scandinavia.”

LemonDogs will be the most recent Scandinavian addition to Team Razer, harking to further expansion by Razer into the Nordic region of Europe. The professional teams within LemonDogs will contribute to product development and validation alongside other global Team Razer members.

“It feels awesome to have Razer as our sponsor,” said André “Berg” Kjellberg, team captain of LemonDogs’ Counter-Strike: Global Offensive division. “I’ve been using Razer equipment for a while already and it’s better than anything I’ve used before. The support Razer offers is great since it will allow us to attend more tournaments than we could previously and participate in events to support Swedish and Nordic eSports.”

As well as joining fellow Team Razer Counter-Strike: Global Offensive squad Verygames, LemonDogs will feel at home with the other Scandinavian members of Razer’s worldwide e-Sports family, including  Starcraft 2 players Snute and Thorzain from Team Liquid and Evil Geniuses, respectively, among other standouts.

“I’m really excited to announce our new head sponsor, Razer,” said Daniel “Pani” Aicardi, founder of LemonDogs. “The support they give us, both financially and with respect to gaming gear, shows the passion we share with them in supporting Nordic and worldwide e-Sports, and we look forward to many great things ahead.”
