SHANDA GAMES TO OPTIMIZE GAMES FOR RAZER SWITCHBLADE UI

Razer, Intel, and Shanda Games work to enhance mobile gaming in China

ChinaJoy, Shanghai – July 28th, 2011 – Razer, the world’s leading high-end precision gaming brand and Intel, the world leader in computing innovation, announced today a strategic partnership with Shanda Games, a leading online game developer, operator and publisher in China, to further grow the mobile entertainment possibilities for Chinese gamers.

Shanda Games' highly popular MMORPG Legend of Immortal, and other hits like Dragon Nest and World of Legend will be optimized for play on Razer’s latest Switchblade User Interface concept.

“True PC gaming on a mobile platform is now possible with the Razer Switchblade,” said Min-Liang Tan, CEO, Razer.  “With top Chinese game developer Shanda Games joining our growing list of software partners optimizing their games for our concept platform, gamers can look forward to more of their favorite games to be available for play on mobile devices.”

“I’m excited for the day when we can have our MMO games running on a mobile device in the hands of every gamer,” said Alan Tan, CEO, Shanda Games.  “It’s a huge innovation to have the full PC gaming experience on the go, definitely a big step forward for the online Chinese game industry.”

“Through the Switchblade User Interface concept, we have an exciting opportunity to innovate the way we develop software to achieve integration of our games on mobile platforms,” said Zhu Jii Sheng, CTO, Shanda Games.

“Intel is very excited to be working closely with Razer and Shanda on the next generation of mobile handheld PC gaming,” said Brad Graff, consumer marketing director, Netbook and Tablet Group, Intel.  “The Razer Switchblade concept takes advantage of the Intel Atom processor, providing the performance needed to run 3D PC games in a small and light form factor, and enabling mobile gaming at significantly less power than a traditional laptop.”
