Following the success of Razer Invitational – Southeast Asia, Razer Invitational marches on to other regions around the world, calling on esports contenders to represent their countries in Razer Invitational – Latin America, the next big regional showdown.

Irvine, Calif. – Razer™, the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers, today announced Razer Invitational – Latin America. After the successful debut of the first invitational held in Southeast Asia in July 2020, Razer Invitational is expanding to LATAM, continuing its mission of establishing an inclusive tournament platform for esports athletes of all levels, from amateurs to professionals, to compete and represent their nations.

“With Razer Invitational – SEA, we received overwhelming support from the 10 nations that took part, with more than 500 teams and 3,500 athletes participating,” said Zuber Mohammed, Chief Marketing Officer at Razer. “Now we are expanding Razer Invitational to other regions around the world to give equal opportunity to amateur and professional players alike, in order to discover more talented individuals and instill within them a sense of pride as they represent their countries in esports.”

Propelling Latin American Esports To New Heights

With its rich cultural diversity and fast-growing prominence in gaming, LATAM is a region full of undiscovered esports talent. Razer Invitational: A Tournament Like No Other

Razer is one of the world’s leading esports brands and has been on a decade-long mission to have esports recognized as a legitimate sport. With the professional leagues leading the esports ecosystem, there is greater need for inclusiveness and equal opportunities to be given to esports athletes of different skill levels, encouraging them to participate and gain valuable experience in large scale tournament settings.

Razer Invitational is built on this vision of fairness, diversity, and inclusivity, and aims to give this much needed tournament experience to a new generation of esports athletes while instilling a sense of glory and honor that comes from representing their country.

Razer Invitational was established in 2020 and was held in Southeast Asia in July 2020, after the successful debut of esports as an official medaled sport at the 30th SEA Games in 2019, the first time for esports to be featured on a world sporting stage.
